The Agents Association

Action

The role of the Agents Association is to give support and advice to activist campaigners. Running up to and through the General Election, the Agents Association ran training workshops across the country, printed and distributed over 1200 copies of the Agents Manual, produced weekly Agents Update briefings and dealt with over 800 messages to the Agents Hotline.

Returns, the Association's newsletter, contains news and information on Agents Association training. Our training at conferences and other Party events continues to be popular with both experienced and new agents.

The Agent's Handbook, the indispensible guide to running a legal and successful election campaign, has been updated to include the very latest changes to election law. The updated handbook can be downloaded by registered members from this web site.

Access

Members of the Agent's Association have year round access to information and advice.

Training sessions held over at national and regional conferences have enabled Agents from across the UK to meet and talk with experienced agents with their finger on the pulse of an ever changing set of election laws.

The Association's team are available in the exhibition hall at every Federal Conference for queries about the organisation's projects and membership.

Any other time members need to contact us they can email all year round!

Prior to the election, there was a series of training sessions aimed at General Election Agents, ensuring that Liberal Democrat Agents are the most informed and up to date campaigners in the country.

Advocacy

The Agent's Association is the only Associated Organisation of the Liberal Democrats who exist specifically to help develop best practice for Agents and Organisers. As such, we aslo act as a point of advocacy for Agents and Organisers within the Party, pushing for improved conditions for Agents across the country, training, common conditions and consulation.

The Agents' Association has launched a Employment Contract Pack, offering sample contracts, terms and conditions, greievance procedures and guidance notes. This is intended to help both employed Agents and Organisers as well as local parties as employers.
